The actress is currenly on a break from the ITV soap, where she is famed for playing Bethany Platt
Coronation Street star Lucy Fallon has seemingly expressed her sadness at her co-star and friend’s exit from the long-running show as she reunited with her soap pals.
The actress is currently on a break from the ITV soap, where she is famed for playing Bethany Platt after she and her partner Ryan Ledson welcomed their second child into the world earlier this year.
Lucy announced in January she had safely given birth to her second child, a baby girl. “Our teeny angel girl is here [star emojis] 11/1/25,” the soap star confirmed alongside a photo of their newborn, before she later revealed they had named the new little one Nancy Margaret Ledson.
But on Friday night (March 21), Lucy was seen back alongside a number of her Corrie castmates as they gathered for Colson Smith’s leaving party.
The actor officially filmed his final scenes on Friday (March 21) and took to social media with a picture from his car that showed the ITV building in front of him.
Colson, who is famed for playing Craig Tinker in the long-running show, could be seen listening to the Macy Gray track ‘I Try’ as he captioned the post: “The Last Dance,” with a hand making a heart emojis and an orange heart icon.
Having seemingly confirmed his last day on the famous cobbles, Colson returned to Instagram with a snap in which he could be sitting above the iconic Rovers Return sign.
Alongside the post, the 26-year-old, who has spent almost 14 years in the role, simply issued a seven-word message which read: “CORONATION STREET I LOVE YOU, THANK YOU.”
Lucy was among those who responded to the post, simply posting a broken heart emoji in the comments section. It comes after she was also seen seemingly saying goodbye to another of her friends and co-stars Charlotte Jordan.
The Daisy Midgeley actress announced at the start of the year she’d be leaving the ITV soap after four years playing the much-loved character. It was January that Charlotte confirmed the news and said in statement at the time: “My time at Coronation Street is something I’ll always cherish.
“After a brilliant four years for Daisy, it’s time for me to start a new chapter and explore other opportunities. It’s been a privilege to be part of a wonderful institution with even more wonderful colleagues who have taught me so much.”
It was then towards the end of February that Lucy shared a black and white photo of herself and Charlotte. The pair were seen in a close embrace with their arms around one another as they looked towards the camera and smiled.
Captioning the post, the new mum-of-two, who is currently on maternity leave after welcoming her second child, penned: “a love letter 2 @charliejordanxo,” and fans were quick to respond, with some thinking it signalled the end of Charlotte’s time at Corrie.
Charlotte herself has since taken to the comments and said: “I’m not crying you are.” Sally Ann Matthews, who plays Jenny, was also in emotional as she replied to Charlotte: “I’m still crying,” before Lucy confirmed: “We’re all crying.”
