Wallingford Fire Station organises the event around once a year in support of the Firefighters Charity.
Organiser Luke Coles said: “We got lucky with the weather and had a great time at the car wash.

“We managed to raise £712.58 in cash and also got some QR code donations, which all goes to The Firefighters Charity.
“Thank you everyone that donated.”
The event took place at Wallingford School car park, chosen for its ability to accommodate a steady flow of traffic.
The drive-through style car wash allowed people to donate as much as they wished, either in cash or by card.

The Firefighters Charity offers specialist, lifelong support to members of the UK fire services community, aiming to empower individuals to live happier and healthier lives.
It does this by providing a broad range of health and wellbeing services, online and in person.
It supports fire services personnel, former fire personnel with five years’ service, medically retired fire personnel, those who manage or assist a fire services youth scheme, fire services chaplains or faith leaders, and many others.
